Pintuition® vs. SCOUT® for Removal of Non-Palpable Breast Lesions Stanford University

Study description

A retrospective single‑institution study from Stanford University evaluated the clinical performance of Pintuition® in breast‑conserving surgery for non‑palpable lesions. Compared with the SCOUT® system, Pintuition® demonstrated equivalent oncologic outcomes while achieving a 21% shorter operative time, without compromise in margin status, specimen volume, or retrieval success. All Pintuition® markers were successfully detected and removed at the index procedure, supporting the role of surgical marker navigation in enabling efficient, predictable tumor excision.
